After finishing the European season, the Krim family has already turned its thoughts to the new one, when a strong team will once again be the key to achieving its ambitious goals. The club will strengthen its ranks with five new handball players, including Itana Grbić, Nina Zulić, Maja Vojnovič, Tamara Mavsar and Tatjana Brnović, while the management has extended contracts with six more players.

In the second leg of the play-off of the EHF Champions League, the women of Krim Mercator ran out of sporting luck. Rapid Bucuresti reached the European quarter-finals with 30:24.

Unfortunately, the handball players of Krim Mercator failed to solve the Romanian puzzle once again. In the second leg of the EHF Champions League play-off, they lost 29:24 against CS Rapid Bucuresti and thus ended their European journey. The total score of the two games was 53:54.

The first match of the EHF Champions League play-off against Rapid from Bucharest was also watched by the President of the Republic of Slovenia, dr. Nataša Pirc Musar.

With an excellent game in the second half, Krim Mercator took a five-goal advantage (29:24). The second leg of the EHF Champions League play-off will take place in Bucharest on Sunday, March 26, at 4 p.m. Slovenian time.

With loud support from the stands of Ljubljana’s Stožice, the Tigers brought Romanian CS Rapid Bucuresti to their knees with a final score of 29:24 on Sunday, March 19, and are thus one step closer to the quarterfinals of the most elite handball competition on European soil!

Krim Mercator reached their goal accompanied by many fans! They defeated the leading team of Group A and qualified for the play-offs of the EHF Champions League via fifth place. In March, at least two more European matches await them, the opponents will be the Romanian handball players Rapid Bucuresti.

The handball players of Krim Mercator qualified for the play-offs of the EHF Champions League! With an important victory (28:26) over the great CSM Bucuresti, the Tigers managed to win a ticket among the top 12 teams in Europe for the second season in a row! Jovanka Radičević and Tjaša Stanko were in the best mood in the blue jersey at Sunday’s match, with seven goals each.

Unfortunately, Krim Mercator’s handball players did not succeed against Vipers Kristiansand for the tenth time in a row. The current European champions were better in the 13th round of the EHF Champions League with a final score of 36:31. There is only one more chance for the Krim to break through to the continuation of the most elite European club competition. On Sunday, February 12, at 2 p.m. in Arena Stožice.
