Despite the help of the home fans (especially) in the second part of the meeting, they could not follow the rhythm dictated by their rivals. In the end, the current European champions were better by six goals, the scoreboard showed 21:27 after 60 minutes of the match. Daria Dmitrieva proved herself again in the blue jersey, this time with eight goals.
Krim Mercator handball players opened their 28th consecutive season in the most elite handball club competition. The excellent play in the first half of the match against CSM Bucuresti was followed by a slightly worse continuation, which was ultimately not enough for the first two points of the season (28:30). The newcomers in the blue jersey, Jovanka Radičević and Daria Dmitrieva, showed their quality, and together they scored more than half of the Ljubljana team’s goals.
Krim Mercator’s handball players opened the new competitive season with a victory at the 7th Super Cup. In Izola, Ljubljana handball players won against ŽRK Z’dežele with a score of 30:24. Thoughts are already focused on the first challenge of the EHF Champions League, the Tigresses will visit Bucharest, Romania.
