Krim will be stronger in the new season thanks to the excellent Daria Dmitrieva

The RK Krim Mercator team is getting stronger before the start of the 2022/23 competition season! Daria Dmitrieva, who wore CSKA’s jersey for the past two years, is coming from Moscow on a one-year loan to the Slovenian capital city. The 26 year old Russian representative achieved the greatest success of her career at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, when she won a gold medal with her chosen row, and she was also selected for the best team of the competition as a middle outside player.

Krimovke finished a successful season without defeat

Krim Mercator’s handball players said goodbye to the 2021/22 handball season with a victory and thus maintained a perfect win in the last match against Mlinotest Ajdovščina. At the end of the season, for the 27th time, Tigrice won the national champions’ trophy, which was presented to captain Nina Žabjek by the general secretary of the RZS, Goran Cvijić.

Krim in Norway ended this season’s European trip

The Krim Mercator handball players did not manage to make a turnaround in the quarter-final match of the EHF Champions League in Kristiansand, Norway, so the Vipers handball players are traveling to the final tournament in Budapest. The last European match in the 2021/22 season for the Ljubljana representatives ended with a result of 33:24 (17:12) in favor of the hosts. Only Ana Gros was in the mood with eight goals, Katarina Krpež-Šlezak added five.

The last European home match did not turn out as desired

Krim Mercator’s handball players hosted Vipers Kristiansand in Ljubljana’s Stožice in the most important European match of the season, the first quarter-final match of the EHF Champions League. The Norwegians were still too hard for the Tigers in the seventh match, but not everything has been decided yet. The match in Kristiansand will decide on the promotion to the tournament of the best four of the Old Continent, where the Ljubljana team will try to make up for the seven goals behind.

Krim among the top eight in Europe!

Despite the defeat on the away match at the Erd Arena in Hungary, the Krim Mercator handball players defended their seven-goal advantage from the first match of EHF Champions League Woman play-off and ranked among the eight best handball teams in Europe. The away match ended with a result of 26:22 (8:10). The most cheerful players of opposite team were Ana Gros and Paula Posavec with four goals, three added by Nataša Ljepoja, Katarina Krpež-Šlezak and Andrea Lekić.

Krim did the match in Tivoli with distinction

The Krim Mercator handball players won the first match of the play-off of EHF Champions League final with distinction. On the floor of the Hall Tivoli, the Hungarian FTC beat 33:26 (15:14) and have a nice advantage over the return match in Budapest. The most cheerful was Ana Gros, who shook the net 13 times, and Jovana Risović showed her best European performance this season in a blue jersey with 17 defenses.
