Ana Gros is coming home!

Exceptional, excellent, fantastic and the adjectives to describe her could go on and on. Who? Ana Gros, of course! The captain of the Slovenian national team, who will strengthen the #KrimovaDruzina next season. She will move to Ljubljana from Győr, Hungary, where she first shone under the European spotlight. She has signed a contract until 2026.

The 32-year-old has already won numerous titles in her career. In 2016 and 2018, she was the top scorer in the French national championship, she was voted the best right back six times, and in 2018, she was also awarded the same title in the elite EHF Champions League. Last season, her outstanding performances on the club and national team court were also recognised by the European Handball Federation and she was crowned the Best Right Back of the 2022/23 season.

In addition to all her achievements, Ana Gros also shines in the national team. The captain of Slovenia is also the all-time top scorer in the national jersey. She currently has 702 goals to her name and can add to her tally in the next two Euro 2024 qualifiers.

The Slovenian women (Ema Abina, Valentina Klemenčič, Tjaša Stanko, Alja Varagić, Maja Vojnovič, Nina Zulić, Nina Spreitzer, Dijana Đajić, Ana Jarc and Elena Erceg) will first play Latvia at home on Wednesday 11 October and then Italy on Sunday 15 October.
