Hawa N’Diaye is the new pivot in Krim Mercator

HC Krim Mercator is strengthening its ranks ahead of the start of the 2024/25 season. Head coach Dragan Adžić will be able to count on Hawa N'Diaye, a new reinforcement at the pivot position, who has pledged her allegiance to the Ljubljana club until 2026, for the 30th consecutive season of the Krim family in the elite EHF Champions League.

The Senegalese born in Strasbourg, France, will be an important reinforcement at the pivot position for the current Slovenian national champions in the next two seasons. The handball player, who started her professional handball career with Le Havre AC, soon moved to the European giants. Between 2014 and 2017, she wore the Metz jersey, with which she also made her first appearance on the big stage.

She later went on to play for Chambray Touraine Handball and Toulon Saint-Cyr Var Handball, in the 2022/23 season she played for Siófok KC in Hungary, and most recently she was part of the Brest Bretagne Handball team.

The 2016/2017 season is a special milestone in the Senegalese national team’s career. On 5 March 2017, she scored her first two goals in Europe’s most elite club competition – in a home match against Vardar.

This was the season when Hawa N’Diaye played with three of her future teammates who will also move to Ljubljana next season: Ana Gros, Tamara Horaček and Grace Zaadi Deuna.
