Undefeated and unstoppable

Krima Mercator's handball players remain undefeated after the fourth round of the elite EHF Champions League! This time they won 25:23 against Storhamar from Norway in Stožice. There are no words to add to the excellent start to this season.

The Krim came out strong and quickly took a 4:1 lead after goals from Tatjana Brnović, Tamara Mavsar, Ana Gros and Alja Varagić. But then it came to a bit of a halt. At the end of the 18th minute, the guests took the lead for the first time, then through Mathilde Rivas Toft for 6:5. It was a fairly even continuation, and at half-time the Tigresses had a minimal deficit (11:12).

In the second, the game went goal-for-goal. A two or three goal advantage on one side, then again on the other. Tense, hot and even. Brnović’s goal with less than six minutes to go secured the equaliser. The Scandinavians only managed to score once more before the end, and the home team (to the delight of all the fans) scored twice more.

Two goals that tipped the scales in favour of Dragan Adžić‘s team and made the final score 25:23. This was Krim Mercator’s fourth consecutive win in this season of the EHF Champions League. The Tigresses remain undefeated in this competition!

A great set for an even better prediction of the next home game, which will take place in one week. On Saturday, 12 October, at 18.00 in Arena Stožice against CSM Bucuresti from Romania.

Dragan Adžić, head coach of RK Krim Mercator: »Congratulations to the Storhamar team for a great job, they played great today. We expected a tough game and I am glad that we remained stable in difficult situations. In the last ten minutes we made the score 5:1.«

Tamara Mavsar, left wing of  RK Krim Mercator: »Congratulations to the competitors for a good and excellent fight. They are doing an amazing job this season. We have seen in the last games that they are always at a high level, no matter if they are down by a lot of goals. I am happy that we won. It was a really tough game. Experience won out, because we’ve been playing in the EHF Champions League for several years now.«
