Jovanka Radičević is the hero of the game in Stožice

The Krim Mercator handball players have fulfilled their first New Year's resolution: they won their first game in 2024. And in what a way! Jovanka Radičević scored exactly four seconds before the final buzzer sounded. For the final 25:24 victory against Romanian Rapid and two new points.

Slovenian handball fans watched a completely evenly matched performance of both teams in Stožice Arena. Guests were in the lead throughout, but the home team did not give up. They resisted their rivals well and even tied the score a couple of times.

This was also the case in the playoffs. With a minute and a half to go, the head coach of the Krim family, Dragan Adžić, took a time out and ended it with a single sentence. It worked! Itana Grbić scored from long range to even the score at 24:24. Another minute of timeout by the Romanian team followed, but it didn’t pay off.

The Montenegrin duo was in the mood with 11 goals (Grbić 6 and Radičević 5), while Tamara Mavsar added five.
