Krim OTP Group Mercator players bring joy to children at the Pediatric Clinic

Today, the handball players of RK Krim OTP Group Mercator visited children at the Pediatric Clinic in Ljubljana. The purpose of the visit was simple yet deeply meaningful: to bring young fighters a moment of energy, hope, and an honest smile during the festive season.

The players and members of the coaching staff handed out “Krim fairies” – handmade dolls symbolising courage and hope – and delighted the children with warm words and photos together.

The excitement and joy were truly priceless, and the children were genuinely happy to welcome the Krim team. The players also promised that, as soon as possible, the children will be invited to attend one of the matches and cheer from the stands for more goals and victories.

“We are extremely grateful to the management of the Pediatric Clinic for supporting our idea of bringing gifts to their young patients and for preparing such a warm welcome. We know that hospitals can be a challenging environment for children and their families, which is why it is an honour to bring a bit of joy, courage, and festive cheer to these young patients. Sincere thanks to all staff at the Pediatric Clinic for their dedication, compassion, and the invaluable work they do every single day. May the new year be kind and courageous for all of us,” said club director Deja Ivanović after the visit.

For Krim OTP Group Mercator – a club that also collaborates closely with Europa Donna (Breast Cancer Awareness Association) and the Golden Ribbon Institute (supporting children with cancer) – such initiatives are an essential part of our mission. We strive to go beyond handball and spread connection, support, and kindness in the most meaningful way.

Especially among the youngest: more than 500 children train under our club’s umbrella, which makes visits like this one particularly close to our hearts.
