The final score was 26:23, but unfortunately for the home fans, it wasn’t enough to overturn the deficit and advance in Europe’s elite club competition. With Sunday’s victory in the Match of the Week, as chosen by the European Handball Federation, Krim’s European season has come to an end.
RK Krim Mercator suffered a defeat in the first leg of the EHF Champions League Play-Offs on the road in Germany. After an evenly matched start, the home team gradually took control, especially in the second half, where they significantly extended their lead. Despite the final score (31:21), all is not lost – exactly one week from now, the return leg will take place at Hala Tivoli, where the Tigresses will fight for a comeback with the roaring support from the stands.
