From Bucharest of bowed heads

The game of the 10th round of the EHF Champions League will be quickly forgotten by the Krim Mercator squad. A meagre eight goals in the first half and a high defeat (36:23) against CSM Bucuresti meant that the Tigresses left the Romanian capital with their heads down. But the season is not over, nothing is lost. The next challenge is already knocking at the door.

Krim Mercator left empty-handed in the first game of the year

Handball club Krim Mercator officially announces that one of the greatest coaches in the history of women’s handball, Ambros Martín, will take over the role of the head coach of the women’s team on 25 November 2024. The coaching icon, who has marked European handball with his knowledge, passion and outstanding achievements, has signed a contract with the club until the end of the season.

Metz also wins second match

The handball players of Krim Mercator were unfortunately unsuccessful in their make-up test against the French team Metz. Although the defeat may not be as painful as the last time at home in Stožice, or the difference is not as high, the Krim are returning empty-handed from their away trip in France. 34:30 was the final score of the game, the last one before the long European break.

Metz wins in Stožice

If in the last two European competitions Krim Mercator’s handball players escaped victory by a hair’s breadth, unfortunately they were completely helpless in Sunday’s match at Arena Stožice. French Metz, who are undefeated this season, took advantage of the Tigresses’ mistakes and won the EHF’s match of the week 25:34.

Tigresses fall two goals short in Hungary

The Krim Mercator players are unfortunately returning empty-handed from Erd, Hungary. Many parallels could be drawn this time with the game a week ago against CSM Bucuresti. The Tigresses were breathing down Ferencváros’ neck all the way, but in the end, despite a big eleven goals from captain Ana Gros and fourteen saves from Barbara Arenhart, they came up short. The game ended 28:26.

Romanians too strong for a fifth consecutive victory

Four times in a row it went well, but unfortunately the fifth time it stopped. Two goals were conceded (29:31), and Krim Mercator handball players had to concede to their rivals CSM Bucuresti in Saturday’s game at Arena Stožice. They are still on eight points in this season’s EHF Champions League.

Krima Mercator’s handball players remain undefeated after the fourth round of the elite EHF Champions League! This time they won 25:23 against Storhamar from Norway in Stožice. There are no words to add to the excellent start to this season.
